Summer Learning for Mom

Blogging Family Life

I was inspired by the post Summer School for Mom at AmysWandering.com, to take advantage of the extra time this summer not being spent on school with my kids to focus on some education for me.

You may have noticed some changes around the site recently. There have been new topics added that I plan to focus on and write about more, such as travel and food. It is my goal to create a business from this blog that will allow me to earn an income from it. This would allow my to not only contribute financially to our household, but hopefully allow our family to spend more time together traveling (in the RV we are about to buy!) and making memories.

Learning new things to build this blog into what I know it can be, is a step in the right direction. So, with that in mind, here are my summer learning plans:

Start a Travel Blog- 5 Day Email Crash Course– To transition into more travel and lifestyle focus, I want all the tips and advice I can get. (Free at time of posting)

7-Part [Snackable] Photo Course– Good photos are always an invaluable resource for blogging and I can’t wait to learn a few tricks to improve mine. (Free at time of posting)

Affiliate Blueprint: 4-Day Video Course- how to build passive income with affiliate marketing (Free at time of posting)

Lonely Planet’s Guide to Travel Writing– “Expert advice on travel writing from the world’s leading travel publisher”; there has to be good advice in there, right?

Writing Away: A Creative Guide to Awakening the Journal-Writing Traveler– how to ‘view travel through a lens of personal development…not just to change location, but also our perspective’ (summarized from back cover)

12-Day Blog Traffic Mini-Course– strategies for increasing blog traffic

Influencers 101: Grow Your Following Challenge– how to boost income with social media; I love trying new products and telling people about things that I love and why they are great, I just feel like I need some direction on how to do this in a way that people really hear

These will be my focus this summer in between watching the kids at the pool and hopefully getting to travel a little too!
